At ZEAL we are actively managing a complex regulatory environment which directly impacts our businesses, the market dynamics and competitor landscape. As a Public Policy Manager / Regulatory Compliance Manager (f/m/x) you help to protect and grow our businesses – strategically but also on a day-by-day basis. Our focus is the German market, but other European markets or business opportunities are possible. You will report to the VP Public Policy & Corporate Communications and this role can be done from either the UK, Germany or Spain. If you are based outside of our Headquarter in Hamburg (Germany), regular travel (approx. 1-2x per month) to our Hamburg office is required.
- Manage and protect our gambling licences for lotteries and online games at the national gambling authority (GGL)
- Engage with key stakeholders at GGL, provide reports and manage requests
- Help develop and implement the public policy strategies
- Drive licence applications for new products and services
- Give internal regulatory guidance and ensure compliance with Glücksspielstaatsvertrag (GlüStV)
- Help to build new businesses and support initiatives from various departments (e.g. marketing, sales, product)
- Engage with other authorities & political stakeholders
- Support the VP Public Policy & Corporate Communications
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the area of public policy and/or regulatory compliance, ideally in a highly regulated industry, law firm, public affairs agency or consultancy
- Academic background (e.g. economics or law)
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of complex regulatory frameworks
- Great attention to detail and goal-orientation
- Solution and execution driven mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English and German
- Work in a competent, interdisciplinary team, where you can actively contribute your knowledge and ideas
