Your Responsibilities:

  • You add value by providing compliance support to Olympus’ business functions and management while striking the right balance between being a Business Partner and a Risk Manager
  • You will be an active member of Olympus’ Hamburg-based Corporate Governance team as well as Olympus’ pan-European Compliance and Data Protection team
  • You support and, over time, will be able to lead complex projects and processes from a compliance perspective
  • You advise on compliance-related laws, regulations and internal policies
  • You drive efforts to mitigate compliance risk through the development and implementation of compliance policies and processes as well as corresponding education
  • You plan and conduct compliance trainings for employees
  • You help foster and promote a culture of compliance

 

Your Qualifications:

  • You are a fully qualified lawyer under German law, having pursued your legal education swiftly and successfully, as evidenced by above-average results in your exams
  • You have several years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally by having worked for an international law firm and/or for an international corporation
  • Experience in Compliance topics related to health care and/or life sciences is a plus
  • Experience in M&A would be ideal
  • You possess excellent written and spoken German and English skills, additional languages are welcome
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate well and effectively across all levels of the organization
  • You are a self-starter with strong analytical thinking, good judgment and good business sense
  • A results-driven mindset and the ability to manage complexity complement your profile
  • You are a well-organized and productive team player able to work autonomously
