Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Regional Compliance Manager EMEA (m/f/d)
As the Regional Compliance Manager you will have the responsibility for Brenntag’s group compliance program in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In close cooperation with Brenntag’s corporate compliance team also located in Essen, you will work to further develop standards, policies and procedures to ensure that Brenntag’s compliance program throughout the regional organization is effective. This also extends to further developing Brenntag’s positive compliance culture. date and implement processes and systems to identify and manage compliance risks.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Update and further implement processes and systems to identify and manage compliance risks
- Provide practical solutions to compliance requests
- Further develop the Compliance Management System
- Exercise leadership and oversight of initiatives to embed a positive compliance culture into the region
- Increase further the awareness regarding compliance related topics
- Work cross-functionally with employees at all levels to ensure efficient integration of the compliance program into business processes
- Monitor relevant new legal and regulatory developments in the region and implement necessary changes
- Conduct compliance trainings
- Manage compliance systems and the coordination of whistleblowing management in the region
- Report compliance topics to the regional leadership team and to the SVP Group Compliance in the German headquarter
Your Profile
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management
- Master of Law / Business degree preferred, unless equivalent experience is demonstrated
- Deep understanding of how to analyze regulations and further develop and implement procedures, policies, and trainings
- High-motivation and ability to further develop, manage, and successfully lead project within a complex stakeholder environment
- Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines as part of an international team
- High service-orientation, reliability, and with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to innovate
- Strong communication skills in English and German with the ability to effectively convey the company's core ethical values at all levels of the company. Knowledge of additional languages would-be a plus
